Car Seat Safety

It is very popular to have a children's baby's car seat in a car when traveling and most of the parents are very alert on the safety issue on it. Lately I have been observing the children and infant that coming to the centre with car seat, I found that there are different way of setting the car seat in the car and I was wondering which is the best and safest way to use a car seat. After some researches that I had done from the internet, I found that there is a website that explains some important issue of children/infant's car seat. It seems to be a quite reliable source since its from the website of American Academy of Pediatrics. As a reason of the infomation in quite details and long, I am posting up the link directly.

  1. Most important would be that the infant in the car is always facing the rear, until the child outgrows the maximum height or weight allowed by the car safety seat manufacturer.

As a minimum, infants in cars should be rear-facing until they are at least 1 year of age AND weigh at least 20 pounds.

I wonder if there are many choices for car safety seats in Malaysia, and where is a good place to get them? And is there a market for rented/used car safety seats, since it sounds like they're only used for around a year?
