The 1st boy... Mr. Hassan

"We are from Kairo, Egypt..." thats what the mother and the grandfather told me when the 1st time I met them. Together with two little boy, Tom & Jerry...Aiks...Just kidding! They were Hassan and Hussein. Anyway, they do behave like Tom & Jerry. You get what i mean? Yes, trying to get each other into trouble! Haha.

This Egyptian family arrived 2 weeks ago before they came to us. The mum said that she need someone to handle Hassan, the elder son. 'Handle?' what a word for a child? after five seconds she told me about this i understand her situation. Hassan is a very strong characteristic child. He is very smart, only thing is he come with a little bit of agressiveness, especially with Hussein, the younger brother.
"Ok, we will try our best to work with him." thats the words that I had told the mother and grandfather with full of confidence...and there started our stories with Mr. Hassan.

And this is our very 1st boy from the another part of the world...Mr. Hassan. Isin't he looks innocent? Haha...
Every morning i went to his condo fetched him to school and sent him home after his afternoon nap around 3.30pm.

Hassan is a very inteligent boy, he has his own thinking, own way. That is a hard part when we trying to work with children with very child centered method. We had to follow the child and guide him to the right path. Its to let the child has the opportunity to think and voice out their ideas. As well to build up a child's self esteem as they will have their right to make a decision for themselves, which Dr. Maria Montessori always mention, freedom with limits. Yes, with limits! I very agree on it as without limits then that is no more a freedom!

Besides that, we did face a big challange as in language problem. he speaks Arabic, but good thing that he can understand English. We did learn some Arabic from him as well, such as "fluse (sounds like this)" which means 'Money!', "Lak" which means 'NO!'
We had great time together with Hassan, altough we been scolded, punched by him. I been hugged and kissed by him as well! Altough the kiss full of saliva =.=''' Anyway, I think the two teachers are the one that had best experience working with Hassan.

Oh ya! I havn't introduce the teachers in the centre...
Thats teacher Lean Nee (green shirt) and teacher Loty(orange shirt) with the children at the pool.

Oh, back to Mr. Hassan...he did bring a lot of experience for all of us, joy, laugh, anger...However, he had went back to his country together with the family after 1 month with us. The parents told me that they can't really suit themselves in this country.

One of the precious picture of Hassan that i like it very much.
~Mr. Hassan and the flowers~

We will miss you, Mr. Hassan!
